Faculty Overview
People and Academic StrengthThe College of Engineering brings together an outstanding faculty that includes members of national academies, internationally recognized fellows, and leading scholars recruited from around the world. Their expertise spans mechanics, advanced manufacturing, materials and energy, biomedical engineering, and environmental sustainability.
The College comprises four schools: the School of Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics, the School of Biomedical Engineering, the School of Materials Science and Engineering, and the School of the Environment and Sustainable Engineering. It currently has 48 faculty members, including 19 Chair Professors, 2 Professors, 15 Associate Professors, and 12 Assistant Professors.
By combining the experience of distinguished senior scholars with the energy of an emerging generation of researchers, the College has developed a balanced and collaborative academic community. It will continue to recruit exceptional engineering talent, strengthen the integration of research and education, and build a distinctive, internationally engaged center for engineering innovation and talent development.
